Gary Plastic Packaging is turning 60! This July of 2023, we’re excited to be celebrating such a special milestone birthday and commemorating six decades of providing exceptional products and services.
Our mission has always been simple: to find the right solution for our customers. Over the years, our fast turnaround, competitive pricing, on-time shipping, dedication to corporate responsibility, and superior American made products have proven this commitment and helped us build lasting relationships across a myriad of industries.
It all started back in 1963 with high quality, rigid plastic packaging, and a handful of other humble products – including beads, game parts, belt buckles, and the D3000 tie hanger, which is still molded today!
The necktie hanger was one of our original products.
This necktie hanger, among other products, were made from post-consumer recycled materials. Food service cups and trays were collected from the local airports and entertainment venues. Gary Plastic processed the recycled plastic and molded the hangers for garment manufacturers in the New York City.
We have been molding with recycled materials ever since.
In 1978 we added our Stat-Tech division for ESD packaging, specializing in the development and manufacturing of injection molded, rigid plastic packaging for the protection of static sensitive electronic parts.
Then in 1986, we expanded operations even further with the launch of Garyline promotional products, to service businesses, non-profits, government agencies, distributors and more. Some of our original promotional products included ice scrapers, license plate frames, ad plates, buckets, mugs, flyers, pill cases, and first aid kits to name a few – many of which are still in production today.
We currently manufacture over 1000 promotional products and more than 350 styles of rigid plastic boxes, with over 100 promotional products made from recycled materials. Most of our packaging and promotional products are reusable and recyclable.
All stages of our manufacturing process are under one roof, including molding, warehousing, printing and assembly. With over 500 employees, this gives us unrivaled control over all stages of the production process, ensuring timely delivery and superior quality control. Our customer service and art departments are all in-house and located in our plant too, facilitating better communication and quicker turnaround time.
Customers who trust Gary Plastic include government, pharmaceutical, engineering, aerospace, medical, gift, O.E.M., cosmetic, jewelry, hardware, automotive, food, drug, and discount chain accounts throughout the United States. We have also been awarded more than a dozen government contracts for producing the containers and parts for U.S. Treasury Liberty Coin and Proof Set Packaging.
